Commercial pellets yay or nay

Are commercial foods like the all living things tortoise pellets actually good for a tortoise? I read in the ingredients that ground corn was a large part of it, but I don't think corn is a healthy food for the tortoise (russian).

Many of the pellet food is okay to feed as a part of a wide variety diet.

I agree that commercial pellet food designed for torts is fine as part of a varied diet.

Few of us would get through the winter months without it to supplement store bought greens. Once the growing season returns we wean our torts back onto weeds.

In the US Mazuri (not the LS variety which torts seem to hate) is very popular.

Here in the UK Mazuri is harder to get; I use Komodo.
