Comi is a little picky when it comes to red lettuces

So, we have had Comrad for about 2 months now and I have found that he does NOT like any of his red tinged lettuces. He will even shuffle those out of the way to eat just the green ones - he even prefers the spinach in the spring mix to the radicchio and red leaf lettuce

He goes through phases where he like the kale and collard greens but he really prefers his escarole and green leaf lettuce. I guess I will have to start chopping everything up to make it small to see if I can get him to eat a little better variety.

I just find it funny that if it's red tinged - he won't have anything to do with it. Anyone else's Russian Tortoise not like the red tinged lettuces???

I can't talk on Russians, but my large Sulcata who normally will eat anything, will not touch red leaf lettuce at all...

Interesting, sometimes my sulcata will go for the red lettuce first.
