I think the baby Leopards are some of the most beautifully marked tortoises around. But when i see pictures of adults, often their markings aren't nearly so striking: they appear to have broken up into just a lot of speckles. Do you Leopard keepers find your Leos markings change drastically as they mature?

I think, the ones that are more spotty/freckled looking are the GPP. Too me the GPB look more marbled. But then, I'm sure there are some of each in each group. Mine still has the scute markings he has when little, but with more marbling all around it. He's only 2 1/2 so far from his adult coloring.

I agree with Wellington. The many small speckles are usually on the pp and I see more of a marbled look on the pb.

Personally, I love the look of all the Leopard youngins but as they grow up I'm partial to the pb marbled look. My largest right now is 6" and still marbled coloring. :) He has a long way to go but I don't think he will ever be covered in tiny speckles.
