Buddy list

Hi!

How many of you use the "Buddy list?

I've got a few people on there...but I don't see much use for it. I mean, I think it would be more useful if we had a chat box on the Forum.

Why do YOU like it?

I use it because I sometimes have to send PM's to all the moderators plus Josh. It makes it easier for me to choose all those people and I don't have to do a lot of typing. I also have member's names who I PM to a lot. Just makes it easier.

That would be a very good use for it!

I have thought about using it because I have wanted to send someone a PM but couldn't remember how to spell there screen name so I had to search thru some post to find it. Plus I wasn't sure how it actually worked.. Not sure how to vote on this since I havent used it before..

I still don't really know what it is. Someone types a question here on the forum and we all answer it. How would a chat room be different?

Well it's not really for questions. It's just to interact with fellow TFO members differently. If a question happens to come up, cool. You can get some speed typing practice too

Well we are going back and forth. What would be the difference in a chat room? I would have answered sooner, but I was looking at other threads, plus I type kinda slow.

All these extra posts and extra pages can be eliminated. So by keeping a chat room open, we phase out useless chatter. haha. But we'd make exceptions for slow typers of course

I just think it would be an overall good addition to TFO...spice things up a bit here
