Surely this must be against some law or another:

My son's step son (young and inexperienced) is getting married this year. He and his fiance were in a bridal store for whatever reason, and they won a three day trip to I don't know where, along with $2000. So my daughter-in-law went with the couple to this motel to get the info on their prize. Guess what? No prize, just a sales pitch to get them to buy something. I'm wondering if there was some fine print they neglected to read. How on earth can they get away with this?

That's really too bad and sick to scam the engaged. They have enough going on.
Bait and switch is illegal. The catch is proving it, which can be difficult if not impossible, specially if there is nothing in writing
They should go back to the bridal store and question them about it. Be sure it's the store that scammed or is it the hotel that did?
