I don't know much about any of them (even though I lived around them) but it looks more like an iguana to me also. It's just the splines down the middle of it's back that makes me think that. I have seen in person reptiles coming out of hibernation in Ohio at the Columbus zoo. I thought the alligator wasn't real and was a cement statue because of it's color. It looked like mud. Maybe an iguana that for some reason didn't get enough sunshine. But, I can't believe that animal was kept in the wild because it also looks like a cement muddy statue like the one at the zoo. The alligators I saw in the wild never looked like that. Nor the iguanas. They were beautiful.
