What is the best method to give them best care in cases where a veterinary visit is not necessary? For example if they need eye drops or treat a small wound on a limb (Minor problems ) etc..?

I'm not an experienced tortoise keeper I just discover them mid 2016.
I aggree they should be handled enough so that the handling is not in and of itself stressful.
When we need to move Dino for bath or let him in his outside enclosure (in the garden) we use a "Dino's special transport...
I forgot to mention I put a heating pad (outside the enclosure ) below Dino's root treeThis pad is not in the enclosure but beetween the table and the outside bottom of the enclosure and warming 24/24 his nest.
