I'm creating a small wading area for my tort and I was planning on making it water proof using silicon. On fish forums it says that this kind is safe for fish but I don't know if it would be safe for a tort.... It is GE type 1 silicon

So will he be ok if I cover the soil with plenty of substrate?

I just purchased a jade plant from Home Depot and I wasn't sure if it would be safe to feed to my tort. I was planning on growing the plant in his cage but with his substrate on top of the soil so he wouldn't be able to get into it. Is this all safe??

Ok thanks! Do you think that some of the reason for the low temp and maybe lack of UVB light is due to the height of the enclosure? I believe that it is 18" away from the bottom.
