I just received my Mees, and they seem to have arrived happy and healthy. Two of the three are already wandering around and exploring, while the third seems to be a little more worn out from the trip.
The enclosure they're pictured in is just the temporary one I had to bring to my office so I could inconspicuously get them in and out of work (where they were delivered).
A couple of early questions:
1) Previously I had Redfoots, and when they arrived they took around two days to acclimate before they started browsing/eating food. Should I expect something similar with Mees?
2) Currently they're using cypress mulch as primary bedding, and I am considering mixing in moss to "soften it up" some. Any thoughts on substrate composition modifications for their temporary indoor enclosure?
Eventually they'll get their own space in the backyard, but for now I want to make their indoor enclosure as hospitable as possible. Interested in any feedback on this. Thanks for any recommendations, and I look forward to being a contributor to the Mee group here on TF.
