Nice.....some REAL snow! I love it!

Tammy, we all know it snows in Jamaica, we saw Cool Runnings!

A $10,000 home around here, has wheels! LOL

I admire your hardiness!
Yes Jeff. So we don't have to go to Nebraska in winter to practise our bobsledding.

Jeff...I assume you mean mobile homes, trailer houses or double-wides...I own a nice double-wide... 3 bdrms and 2 baths room, with yards for tortoises I love my house. In 2005 I paid $30k for it...4 years ago the singlewide next door sold for $100.000...other houses here are now going for $200,000. For a damn trailer house!!! But the people in those new fancy houses are trailer trash just the same and I dislike most of them...awful people who think they are better than us in older houses...jerks...the ice rain has turned into warmer rain and I'm takin my car to the store at first light...adios

Please, "manufactured housing"

I think its crazy that trailers appreciate in value overtime like houses. But it seems like theres little to no difference in pricing vs traditional site built houses around here.

I don't think they do. At least in Michigan, if they are of a certain age, you will have a very hard time getting them insured or financed. The property value goes up, but not really the trailer value itself.

Oregon State University is so big that our small town has no available rentals...Students are renting single rooms for $1000???? Too bad I don't live closer I get in on that...but if you are a family with kids...you're in trouble for an affordable place to live here

My house was built in 1999...insurance was a problem but doable...financing is way hard now...I don't need financing, but others do..I can hardly wait to go to the back of the park and look at a freakin trailer house for...$25000, I counted from the back of the park to the exit/entrance is 13 speed bumps and 10 mph...ugly

I think my mom's mobile home is older than yours. The previous owners took such good care of it, that the insurance company that my parents had for a long time insured it. It's also in a woodsy area on a river, not a park. So that gave the land more value too. But anyone buying it now would have a problem.

Ok...I am tired of being a trouper...it's warm actually, 35 degrees, but...the road is slush, my driveway is still frozen, on an incline...The Squirrel will sit another day...all the melting is causing flooding and the flood is refreezing and melting...the ice on top of my greenhouse is melting and the sleet rain is adding weight and, it is collapsing. Guess that is simply one more thing, we have no water, the electricity was out for 4 hours, my refrigerator died. I guess it was a good thing there was no food in it...and frankly...the ******* cable is out as well, so I have no phone....and I feel so irritable inside...this thing I noticed is also much more irritating...GMA's weather guys don't seem to realize that all that cold weather is coming from the PNW. us.and yet they say from Idaho, across the US...blah, blah...the West Coast does not exist on their weather map. So I am gonna go make pancakes...DSCN2071.JPG

Holy crap, you are getting it all dumped at once.
The crap cold is coming from Canada to you and moving east across the whole US. Very few that are having normal temps. Seems to be swirling in circles before moving on too. It's covering almost the whole mainland states.. Hang in there, this week, starting today for us at least, it's getting better. Temps above zero except wind chill is still minus.

And you should feel guilty. At least until everyone here gets back to their normal temps😝
Seriously though, I can't do the 90's. I can handle the cold great, but not the heat.

I'm hoping and praying you get a break soon from the weather. Here it's just too cold but we're not dealing with snow, ice, and mayhem.

You shouldn't feel guilty because I'm sure you'll have your fair share of crappy mother nature shenanigans in the future 😏
