Yes, we're in the southeastern part of Louisiana, about 30 miles NE of New Orleans. Here in our immediate area, we're fine. Not even much rain. We're expecting rain from Harvey in a few days, but it'll be nothing compared to what poor Houston Is getting. Now the southWEST part of Louisiana is closer to Texas, and may get some flooding. How about your side of the Deep South? Any problems in your area? Louisiana correct?
That's just freaking CRAZY!!
Hey Ken, my immediate neighborhood isn't flooding, but it's sure a mess all over greater Houston. It's going to be weeks before the flooding goes down in some parts.I'm thinking my older brother lives in Houston. Obviously we're very close. I should text him and see that he's okay.
Better on the wallet staying with friends than staying at a questionable hotel or motel for the duration. Make sure your friends understand the need to come up with a daily dollar amount that they "paid" their friends to stay there for insurance reasons. My friend has received mandatory evacuation notice and is now out of Houston and staying with friends
You be careful too; Bea !YO, all you Texas members!!!
Everybody still OK?
You're a good man, Mike.I was out yesterday pulling people out . Got 7 people a dog and cat . The water is moving too fast for this little boat now . There's been air boats and helicopters flying people out behind my house . I'm on higher ground . But the river is about two miles a way . The water is up so high air boats are shaking my house .
So far, so good! We're on pretty high ground. You be careful too; Bea !
Heavy rains expected in your neck of the woods if I understand correctly.
