Anybody have Zone Alarm loaded on their computer?

I accidentally clicked "don't allow" when it asked me if Google Chrome could access the internet. I LIKE Google Chrome. It works well for me. But now I can't get online unless I use IE or Firefox. So I hit "exit" from Zone Alarm so I could be sure that it was blocking chrome, and it was, but now I don't know how to re-activate Zone Alarm. I can't find it on my computer.

You could always go through your program list and uninstall and then reinstall it, provided you can find the program at all! A little bit of a hassle, but then you can use both programs.

I don't use Zone Alarm by the way. Avast! for me.

Zone alarm should restart automatically when you reboot your computer.

You need to find the firewall block list. I don't have ZA on any of my PCs at the moment (I used to) I will try to remember how you get to the block list

Thank you everyone. I'm about through for the day, so I'll turn it all off and hopefully tonight when I turn it back on it will be ok!

To give the application Internet access:

In ZoneAlarm, select Computer.
Select Application Control | Settings.
Click Advanced Settings.
Click View Programs, then select the program and give it Access by clicking and choosing Allow from the popup menu..

Chrome should work fine after this.

Hi Cfr200:

I looked back through your previous posts to see if you ever told us what to call you, but I don't see it anyplace.

Thanks for that info, but I couldn't find Zone Alarm in my computer. I looked on the control panel and in accessories, but couldn't find where it resides. So I went to add/delete and removed it, then downloaded it again. All is well!!

My name is Charlie and you could find zone alarm on your taskbar down near the time.

No, when I exited the program it removed the Z icon.
