I had just weighed my tortoise at home and he or she is 42 grams. I have had the guy since November. Guess would be 6 months old. I was wondering because I believe its a female because Rocky grew alot bigger in general with everything. Just wondering because I was interested in buying a tortoise of different sex.

If you post pictures of Rocky's and Sparky's underside, pictures which include the tail area of the shell, we can give you a GUESS as to their sex. But they're really too young/small to say it with real accuracy.
The growth rate really doesn't mean much. They all grow at different rates regardless if male or female.
