Igloo is now weighing in at 11.25 pounds and is measuring about 12 inches in length. The white banding has grown dramatically and spread to a few other areas. I'm reading conflicting information about sexing - any hints as to what Igloo may be?

I guess that Igloo is a girl. Just a guess though. My sulcata gets those white bands in the new growth area sometimes. Don't know what they are.

Still too young to sex, but looking female-ish.

I think this is way beyond white growth rings - as you can see from the photos, these color changes are about 2 inches wide. Thanks for the guesses guys! I was thinking female but either way we are happy.

I think you are right. I have not seen that before. Did it grow in that way or just change color afterwards?

They grew in that way - and you can see there are multiple places where it coloring is off. When I first asked about this and posted the first photos (where it does look like an extra fat growth ring in one area) someone mentioned "marbling" but I can't find any information on marbling.
