Joey and I are going to be travelling in a car for about 8 hours in a week and a half. I'm going to keep him in his Rubbermaid tub in the back seat, but I don't know how to keep him warm. I've seen recommendations for hand warmers, but Joey likes to bite unfamiliar objects (and some familiar ones) and I don't want him to hurt himself. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Joey and Mama

you could get one of those microwave puppy warmer disks and set the tub on it or put it in the enclosure. they stay warm an amazing amount of time. it is hard plastic so if the temp is not too high he could even lay right on it. I would check the temp though to make sure it is in the safe tort temp range before allowing him to get near it.

I would think, for an 8 hour period, as long as your car temps are not much lower than Joeys typical night time temps he should be ok until you get to where you are going and get him warmed up.
