Toto has an injury to her right hind leg.

Hi Everyone,

I am a new member of the tortoise forum and am glad to be in your community.

My star Toto who is around 2 and a half years old has an injury to her right hind leg.

This has happened around 6 months back. Due to this she hardly walks upright. She keeps dragging her right hind leg while walking. This leg is mostly projecting outwards while she is walking or resting. She does put this hind leg inside but very rarely.

I have tried to feel this leg but do not find any swelling as such.

I took her to a local vet but she could do nothing much. She only heat treated her leg with a UV Ray lamp for just 2 or 3 mins.

May be she has sprained her leg while walking over some obstacles.

Please be informed that I am from Chembur, Mumbai and would need some urgent advise or treatment to be undertaken for my Toto.

Hello and Welcome. Sorry to hear about the torts leg problem. I would take her back to the vet and insist on an X-ray to see what might be going on in there.
