tortoise substrate (India)

Hi Guys,
Wanted to know resources, where I could buy good tortoise substrate. Also if you use mud/coconut coir, how often do you clear/change them??

I use peat moss as shown here for the indoor redfoot enclosures....and change out like every 6 months or so....or do partial change outs...I don't want to remove some of the good bug/worm action that is going on there to help maintain the environment...

No I dont think we get that here in India.. any other suggestions???

btw.. you clear that area once in 6 months.. doesnt it stink???
