Tortoise shots?

At some point when my little guy is older will I have to get him some sorta shot or check ups?

vet checks maybe, at least a fecal to check for internal parasites.. but not vaccines are needed..

No. Only take him to a vet if he has a serious, obvious health issue.

If your tortoise is healthy, eating well, acting normal, being maintained in the correct enviromental conditions and is not exposed to other tortoises there should be no need for check up visits.
