Hi Gus:

I'm GUESSING female, but please wait for a more Star experienced person to say what they think. (I have a 50% chance of being right, no?)

I do not have a Star i have a Hermann but i have learned if your Torts tail is short its a female if its long and thick its male yours looks like a female but when they are small its hard to be sure some look female till they reach a certain size then they turn out to be male

For Star tortoises I have heard that juveniles if soaked in warm water will reveal their parts and this is true because mine does it every time so good luck. And yes at that age its almost impossible to tell just remember that if some are growing way faster than the others they are most likely females unless they are all males and some of them are just growing faster.

Many tortoise species will do this. I am still waiting to see if any of my tortoises do this. I had a Burmese star who did this and it was extremely noticeable.

I think female, but too small to be certain. Either way that star has some thick bands on it. Should make a stunning adult one day.

I would give you a 97%+ chance of it being a female. I have raised more than a few.
