So when I soak Hank, he starts flicking his front feet. Like he is swimming. Brings his feet to the front and pulls them back to the side. This is only his 5th day having a soak. Not sure if this is a negative or positive thing.
In the real world, sulcata tortoises get in a mud hole and flip the mud up onto their backs. I don't know the object of this mud bath, unless its to cool them off. But they all do it.
One of the CDTs here will do this if I feel the need to force soak him....however, as Yvonne mentioned...he will do this when I turn the sprinkler on....he will go to a spot where he does that motion and it creates a pallet and he then dunks his head and drinks away....
