If memory serves my old '92 CBR 600F2 was 411 pounds dry and made 88 HP. According to its speedo, it topped out at around 156 pinned in 6th gear on level ground. That's probably around 150 in the real world. That was before FI, and it had the four synced carbs. The 0-60 prize has to go to the H1 500.....it's is deadly fast. Any guesses for 0-60? for roughly 90hp on a 320lb bike? 4-5-6? Heck, my overboosted supercharged @12psi old SLK does high 6's and the bike would kill the car.
The newer 600s are all fuel injected, weigh less and make around 130 hp, all on much better suspension. Scary fast.
I've ridden some of the liter bikes, but I prefer the lighter snappy feel of the 600s. Same thing on the dirt. I'll take a 250F over a 450F any day.
I don't think I've ever ridden a two stroke street bike. Back in the day I rode a few 500cc dirt bikes, and that was an experience to remember. Wow.
