before I say anything, I would like to let you guys know, I DID read the forums about diet and habitat. But this is the set up we currently have. It's from ZooMed and it's called a Tortoise House. The left side is the bigger area and the right side is a smaller area that is dark when the top is on. The dish in the smaller area has some moistened bedding. As bedding goes, we are using ZooMed Forest Foliage. It says it's 100% natural cypress. We are feeding them clover sprouts, rose pedals, and tortoise pellets from backwaterreptiles.com (we we got our tortoises from). We currently do not have a light because the breeder said we didn't need one yet. So now my mom says we don't need one. I am very open to suggestions. Thank you very much and I have like a million more questions.image.jpg

My mom was the same way, have her read the forums Tom has about diet and habitat. That changed my moms mind right away. Your tortoises pen looks way dry you need to keep it humid and hot on there, I got my second sulcata from backwater too, they need the humid and hot habitat just like the rest of them.

If you don't have a light, you won't have walking torts, they will just hide and sleep all day. :) good luck

Hi Kelli. Read these, have your mom read these and then make the needed changes before they get sick and die. Yes. Its that serious.

You got sold and told all the wrong stuff from a company with a not-so-great reputation. That is a real bummer, but hopefully if you act quickly we can save your tortoises.
