Can a Russian Tortoise pyramid at any point in their life or is it just mainly an issue when they are growing? Also what caused pyramiding?

Hi Tish:

Pyramiding usually starts during the first year of life. If conditions aren't right, it can continue after that, but if there was no pyramiding during the first year, then it probably won't occur.

Russian tortoises aren't prone to pyramiding.

Keep your babies warm but not too hot with a humid hiding place and it will probably grow smoothly.
