Pyramiding

hi guys I'm having trouble with understanding pyramiding and what causes it .. I know when I bought my tortoise, he was a bit pyramided but he's still small so I'm hoping I can prevent any more from happening .. Here's a few pics so you can tell me what you think .. Thank you in advance guys . Also does anyone know how old is he

Keep your humidity at a constant level of 80% or better. Looks to be about 4" long so probably in the 2 year mark.

Doesn't look bad to me.

My little Sheldon is similar. He has a faceted look of his scutes.
Guess they started off drier than they should have.

Not bad at all. Keep him.humid, and he should look great
