Prolapse? Flashing? Idk!?

Can someone help explain? My tortoise has been doing this at least 3-4 times over several years. I finally caught it on camera, research states it could be the tortious “flashing” but it looks like a prolapse but it rarely happens. This mass also goes back into its cavity with ease.

That is a tortoise erection.

Be sure your tortoise is hydrated, eating the right foods and has a large enough enclosure. A lack of any of those three things can cause constipation, which can cause more "flashing" and in some cases a prolapse where it doesn't retract as it should. If all three of those things are good, then this is just normal flashing.
