Prickly Pear?

Does anyone know if this is a prickly pear cactus? This huge plant is growing in my backyard and I would eventually like to give small nibbles to my Sulcata Tortoise when he is older.

Yep. That is opuntia. Wear some heavy rubber gloves and wipe the spines and glochids off under running water, or singe them off with an open flame.
