Hey there,
So recently I received an about 7 year old male Russian tort from a home that couldn't take care of him anymore. He used to live with one other male in the same tank. I noticed that little chips in his shell were missing with white spots underneath, and after further research I'm worried it might be shell rot. I don't know all the details about his previous home but I don't believe he was soaked on a regular basis if at all. It might just be wear and tear from living with another tortoise, but I'm really unsure. I'll put some pictures below, thanks!31CDF6B3-8F39-4C9F-A8C0-A7518F143380.jpeg

Russians don't get shell rot, and the tortoise species that do get shell rot get it on the plastron from being kept too wet all the time.
