A friend of mine has a wild box turtle that regularly comes onto their back porch and eats their cat Oscar's food. They have named it O.P. (Oscar's Pet). She emailed me photos of it, and I'd like to post them so forum members can tell us what kind of boxie it is, but I've never posted photos before. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. We already know it isn't a 3-toed because I told her to count the rear toes and she says there are 5. We live in south Louisiana, if that's any help.

The simplest way is to use Photobucket.com

Create an account, upload the photos. Hover over the picture and then Click once on the IMG Code to copy it.

Come back to here and use CTRl-V to paste the IMG code into your thread

Ok, my friend misunderstood- the turtle has 5 toes on the FRONT and 3 toes on the back- so am I right in assuming this means it's a TTBT? :)

Nope. It's not a ttbt probably an intergrade. Was it from your area of La? Though it could be an odd colored gcbt.

It just showed up in her back yard and eats he cat's food. We're assuming it's wild, but it doesn't seem to freak out about being picked up and handled. What does "intergrade" mean- is that like a cross or hybrid between 2 distinct types???
