I've got some "hens and chicks" that I'll send off if any one is interested in them. They are, right now, at the nickel to quarter size. They grow great and my tortoises, sulcata, russian, and pancakes have all enjoyed them.
This is their winter color. They green up in spring, summer and fall.
I should have been clearer in this offer. Cover shipping costs and that's it. I'll take PayPal and ship the day the money clears and I can ship. And come on friends, folks let's keep this honest, don't get them from me for free and then make money by selling to other folks. If you're wanting some, PM me and we'll set it up.I've got some "hens and chicks" that I'll send off if any one is interested in them. They are, right now, at the nickel to quarter size. This is an old post...but is it still true? Would love to get some larger pipe. Haven't been able to find it locallyI work in construction and get lots of the black corrugated round storm pipe. It makes great caves/hides for outdoor tortoise pens. The sizes that I can typically get are 12", 15", 18" all in diameter. I can also every now and they get setting a little larger like 24" and 36". Anyone in the Houston area can have some for free if they want to meet me somewhere.
I tried to load a picture of it but I got an error saying I don't have permission to post pictures.

Ugh this would've been heaven for meAnyone in SC interested in a large indoor enclosure? It fit in the old rental house but it doesn't fit in the new purchased house, so it's got to go otherwise we can't build a new enclosure. It's 4x6 feet and doesn't include lights or plants or anything, just the enclosure/doors/fans. Made of wood painted, siliconed edges, and plastic lined. Free to Tort Forum members if you haul it!

There's an old abandoned house on my property that I use as a shed. The bedroom is full of turtle and tortoise stuff, aquariums that leak, etc. Naturally, I wouldn't be able to ship any of it, but if you live near me, you can come take a look and walk away with anything you want that's in there. People give me all their supplies when they turn in their turtle/tortoise, so there's lots of those pre-made waterers and feeders, caves, etc. There are cat carriers, an old exercise bike - just lots of stuff!

If you're nearish I could probably pile up a bunch of cuttings for you- they propagate really easily (mostly, just the super scientific "stick it in the dirt" .if anyone wants to send me some succulents or cactuses i will be okay with it!
Yeah, I second that- you're in bay area, bush mallow is pretty common, and at least in our neighborhood, lots of dandelions. We've met neighbors we never knew before knocking on doors and asking if we could have some of their front yard hibiscus, mulberry, chayote- just about everything. People seem generally charmed to hear that you're "taking it home to my tortoise" Basically seems to be the way this introvert makes friends these daysGo hunting for weeds. Try to snatch up the seeds and throw them into your greenhouse.
I'm a severe EXtrovert and I've met neighbors in the couple weeks I've been here that Rochell has yet to meet going back 15years simply because of tortoise weed yard shopping.Yeah, I second that- you're in bay area, bush mallow is pretty common, and at least in our neighborhood, lots of dandelions.
