Do you open once a week or anytime regularly the litle giant incubators to keep air from getting stale?

I have the holes unplugged so maybe that's enough and maybe the temparature change when I do that isn't worth having fresh air.

I generally look in every day to see if anything is hatching. I've never given any thought to 'stale' or 'fresh' air inside.

It's fine if you open it and check it, and it's fine if you don't. If you have the holes in the incubator unplugged you should be careful to make sure that it doesn't get too dry in there. I have to plug all those holes to maintain humidity in my incubators.

Tortoise eggs usually incubate in the ground. The female pees on the covered nest and tamps down the wet earth with her back feet. I really doubt there's air exchange down there in the nest.
