not eating

so i will feed my tortoise in the mornings. but he wont go and eat quickly there after. but if i feed him in the afternoon he will. so i will give him food in the morning and around lunch time he starts eating. why is this? and is this something i should be concerned about?

Could we have some details about your setup? It could be it takes that long for him to get warmed up enough to be wanting to eat. Could be that's when he gets the light? That's why we need more information. To answer your other question, no it is fine if he does not eat until the afternoon. :)

yeah thats what i was thinking! he wakes up and just lays under his light. his hut is oh the other side of the enclosure. so he heads to his light when it turns on. (its on a timer) and then about 2 or 3 he will go eat.

oh and i will put the food out between like 6 and 8 depending if its a weekend or not
