new to the forum just built redfoot enclosure check it

I'm getting a redfoot this week that needs a home hered the enclosure I built its hard to see but I have a uv light along the side a flood heat light and a night heat light alone with his big blue house. Tell me whatcha think also the demensions are 8x4'

You could save on all these lights if you just got a heat emitter and a long tube UVB 5.0. How are you going to keep the humidity in? I would add some plants...bury them right in their little pots if you want. A large water dish that he could climb in and out easily.You could also cover it partially with Plexiglas...that would hold in the humidity.

Welcome to the forum!!

Your new habitat looks great except kind of barren. It might be a good idea to smooth the plastic out and secure it better. If a tortoise can get a "foothold" he will tear that up in no time. I like your substrate and the size, now you just need to add some plants. Fake or real, doesn't matter, but the real ones help to keep it humid.

yeah i have wanted to add some plants just blew a lottttt of money on the enlosure. yeah i fixed the liner up a bit, added a big paint tray for water, and some ceramic heat emitters. also for humidity i have a warm mist humidifier on the cool end blowing in some warm humid air. i just havnt founnd any good fake plants to throw in there, i think any real ones he would just eat.. he eats like a horse!
