HI my name is frank and I just purchased a sulcata tortoise in southeast ga. i have found that the pet store employees are complete idiots according to what i have read so far on the care of a sulcata tortoise hatchling. i bought it any way and i am going to do everything i can to make sure my new family addition is healthy and safe any help on the care of a hatchling will be greatly appreciated. mainly how much and how often should i water or "soak" my hatchling (aka: Tokka) pet store said 15-20 min once or twice a week. how often should i feed and how much of these tortoise pellets ( about as big as a tootsie roll) do i need to give again pet store says 1-2 every other day. about how long before i need to move tokka out of the aquarium (which the pet store employee said i could keep him in for about 3 years! doubtful) i want to make sure i am correctly taking care of tokka and making sure he is healthy. i am new to the care of a tortoise and any help is welcome. thank all of you in advance for your help with this.
