Hello, we have just inherited a tortoise as its owner has emigrated. We know nothing about his species, age or if he should have any associated paper work (in the UK). Any idead anyone? :tort:

Yes, your tortoise needs paperwork. Can you contact the previous owner and see if they have it?

As far as species goes, I'll defer to the other, more knowledgeable members here.

Hey I am a UK keeper(of red foots though) so I'd reccomend joining RFUK as well as here to give you a wide range of advice. In terms of species I think it's a Spur Thigh, one of Testudo Graeca Graeca or Testudo Graeca Ibera although I don't keep Med species and am not an expert in ID by any means
