New outdoor enclosure

My red foots out grew there tank. So I finally got to work on their outdoor enclosure.
It will have screen all the way around and will have a waterfall feature.
The picture of the house is a picture i found on here but its simular to what i wanna build.

Nice job. I like the idea of the rocks around the edges. Seems like this would inhibit any digging out.

That sure looks like Florida in the picture. If you're in South Florida, I have a free decent sized plastic dog house you can have/use.

Digging the trenches for those rocks was not easy, but it will be well worth it.

Thanks everyone it took alot of hard work and its still only half way finished.
Jacqui i would have loved to make it tall enough to stand in epecially since I'm 6'2. But then i would be obstructing the views of the lake. That is why i designed the door into 4 pieces that come completely off, so that i can get in there and do whatever it is i need to do in the enclosure.

Did some work on the enclosure this weekend. I swould say i am 90% done with it. i need to plant some bamboo at the end of the water fall and add couole more plants. I also have to build them a winter home but i think ill leave that for next year.

Yeah...I made a chicken coop once that was only 4' tall. It was a pain to get in there and add the food and water and rake up the poop.


That's just beautiful! A lot of work, but a beautiful little habitat. Can't wait to see it with your tortoise in there.
