Hello! I am new to this all, I recently became a turtle mama. I attached a picture of my baby Princess Josefina Henrietta IV of Spain (I have some very creative siblings). She was given to us as payment for doing yard work for an elderly neighbor. She is about 3.5" long and loves raspberries! I am excited to learn more and hear what you all have to say!

Welcome to you and the princess. She's lovely!

Please read the care sheet on box turtles. She needs an entirely different substrate, one that holds moisture. She's an omnivore, so you can feed her fruits, veggies, worms, slugs, bugs. She'd love the opportunity to spend the summer outdoors in a secure habitat where she can bask and hunt.

Hello and welcome to TFO.
There are some great ideas for Enclosures and information on how to keep Princess happy and healthy. If you can follow all advise as best you can she should be with you for man, many years.

Thanks for the advise! The "reptile specialist" at my local pet store suggested that I use this cover, what do you recommend? I will definitely be checking out the care sheet as you suggested!

Greetings to you and Princess. I have a Princess Fluffy, but she is a giant banana slug that lives in my carport and eats the leftovers that the tortoises don't finish. I can't understand why my family thinks I'm 'eccentric'
