Need help with identification

Hi everyone, someone just gave me this box turtle. I think it is a Three-toed, but not sure.

Probably a gulf coast - Terrapene carolina major.

Gulf coast and some colorful three-toe look similar. Does your new turtle have three toes on the back feet or four?

I have a lot of gulf coast three toed hybrids around my house. It could easily get confused trying to identify them. Lol but I agree the best way to see is look at the feet.
