I might try putting them in or on something she likes? A strawberry bit? I know forcing a torts jaw open is not easy... probably not good idea either

Before I "go there", what are you treating for?

Did you find the cause of the illness and correct that first?

Well I took her to a tortoise specialist vet and she's told me some steps to take with the heat in her table. Because she's had this since I got her the cause of it is unknown but the shop she's from is notorious for bad breeding so we think it's a problem from there. I've also got a new power for her baths and I've got to give her 2 soaks a day rather than one to try and help her go to the toilet. I managed to get her to take the antibiotics. And I know the vet said change won't be fast but since I've brought her home and bathed her correctly with the new stuff she's so much more alert she's been up since I got her out the bath and she's eaten for the first time in a week. So fingers crossed we have solved the issue

I have a sulcata that was sick with a ri when I got her,:( and yes I know sullies shouldnt really be giiven fruits but id hold a strawberry just out of her reach:oops: and when shed open her mouth for it id squirt meds in her mouth with a syringe. It worked perfectly everytime.:) And yes, I always gave her at least a bite of the strawberry. It was just easier than me stressing her even more by me attempting to pry her mouth open.

So I've now ordered a ceramic heat bulb. And I've been told to get heat pads but I am unsure how to put them on or where they will go. This is her table. These heat pads aparently should go in her hide but where?? image.jpgimage.jpg
