My dalmatian aged 1 1/2 ish appears to be mating with an inverted water dish. She is ramming it with great enthusiasm. I just removed it.

I guess it is a good thing I didn't name her.

If I posted pictures would you rather see her under parts or photos of the activity?

If the bowl is giving her pleasure, should I put it back?

There is also vocalizing involved.

Sally who has tort - gender identity issues....

I would take a picture of the underside of the Tortoise and some experts will be able to tell you, but I think you may have a male:)

Yes, leave the dish....let the dish be the target of the ramming....likely lets the tort feel better...sometimes a tort will also rub their shells agains the objects....so I would leave the dish....and at 1 1/2 too small to accurately decide male/female, but fun to peek none the less...
