Ok so I bought two thermostats one for my tortoise and one for my beardie, so now at night (or day) it never goes below whatever temperature I want. I have it set at 80f. So if anybody is interested in a thermostat that is easy to wire and very accurate I can recommend this one, they are cheap and very easy to use. I also set up the basking light under dimmers for both enclosures each is independent of course. But I can control the intensity of the basking light without having to move it up and down and then the CHE controls the temperature so it doesn't fall below 80 and the uv bulb is on a regular timer that turns on and off together with the basking light. I think it's a good lighting set up with a lot of control in case anything needs to be adjusted.
