Looking for a new forever friend? The Arizona Game and Fish Department has 75 baby desert tortoises up for adoption.
AZGFD recommends that before adopting a desert tortoise, potential owners learn as much as possible about desert tortoises and desert ecology. https://www.azgfd.com/wildlife/nongamemanagement/tortoise/captivecare/
Desert tortoises are available for adoption if you are a permanent resident of Arizona.
If you are ready to become a tortoise pet parent, click here to fill out the application. https://www.azgfd.com/PortalImages/files/wildlife/tortoise/tortoiseAdoptApplication.pdf
The organization also posted a message for any potential adopters, which can be viewed here. https://www.azgfd.com/PortalImages/files/wildlife/tortoise/tortoiseAdoptPacketFORM9082.pdf
We need adoptive homes for 75 #DesertTortoises! We have tortoises of many ages and sizes available - including these week-old babies! Interested in adopting? Visit https://www.instagram.com/p/BYLsUsRAbA0/
