I was pleasantly surprised at all the correct info. A couple wrong things, but mostly correct.

(and not all tortoises float, some sink like a stone, for example desert tortoises)

Thanks, very interesting read, I didn't know that they had to empty their lungs in order to go into their shell.
They do breath while in their shell don't they??

If you listen as a tortoise pulls its head in, you can hear it expelling air. There is quite a loud "huff"... well there is from bigger ones anyway
