Hello! I am a newer tort owner. I am feeding a mix of mazuri pellets, kale, lettuce and organic wheat grass. I am growing the organic wheat grass myself and would like to start growing more weeds/plants for my tort. I got him as a less than 3 month old baby sulcata only eating lettuce. We are baking down the lettuce and trying to increase the more beneficial foods for him. He really prefers the lettuce so I think he would really like leaves. I will start growing dandelions but I am wondering if I am supposed to grow the normal dandelions like you see in the wild in the US or if I need a different kind? Would these be okay dandelion seeds for me to start growing? What other plants/weeds can I begin to grow for my baby sulcata tortoise?
