No not at all they actually will help you identify tortoises if you got two of the same species and of the same age other than that they are just the same as another Greek tortoise I'm about to get two with 1 extra scutes on each I don't know why the guy sold me them for less they are even healthier then the one without any extra scutes (the lighter one in my profile pic)

link for plant id, pics can be bit blurry so as mentioned if you post up on here if in doubt. extra scutes just makes them unique and special I think
