I have a female that is 24 years old and she has been pacing and eating up all the cuttlebones. Anyone have ideas to get her to pick a spot?

Nope, she will walk until she is ready. Make sure you have spots that are clear of roots and other obstructions. Mine like to lay in corners, under bushes, pots, plants, etc. The plant diggings are the most painful as it is highly likely they will hit a root and stop.

I don't have direct experience with this yet but I might try loosening the soil/substrate in good looking locations. Shovel would work, nothing fancy.

Good luck and keep us posted!

My egg laying tortoise dug and dug and paced for days until I took the dirt in her box and piled it all in one corner. She laid her eggs that night.
