Ok, I have been reading and reading thread after thread and
have some questions. When my new adoptee arrived late Sunday night, Monday when he was put outside he ate like a starved teenaged boy.:p
Every time I went to checking on him he was eating something.
The last three days not anywhere near as much as Monday.
Monday was nice, sunny, etc, the last three days overcast and chilly.

Does temp effect their eating habits?

Monday he peed and poop (3x) and I have not seen anything the last couple days.

Do they not go to the bathroom daily? I figured after Mondays feast he would of went all over the place.

Does Temp effect them relieving themselves?
We've tons of nice grass, lots of dandelions, rose petals, etc.

The prior owner said he wasn't much into hay unless it was soaked.
I realize it's only been 4 1/2 days he's been here, just wanting
to make sure I learn all I can and do right by him.
A lot of the info relates to hatchlings and youngsters, He's 12.
Which in Tort years may still be considered a youngster :D

Temp has a HUGE effect on appetite, potty habits and activity level. Everything slows way down when its cloudy and overcast. It takes several days and in some cases weeks for food to makes its way all the way through them.

Where are you and does he have some night heat? How cold is he getting at night? Temps here at my place are still dropping into the high 40's some nights, but its okay since daytime temps quickly climb into the 80's and they have heated houses for night time.

I have so many questions in different areas, general, diet, etc.
So I have my 100 questions broken up in different areas.
The answer to your questions is here

But in short, Sulcata, day temps 59 to 75 but mostly in the 60's the last couple or three days and high 40's to low 50's at night.
Outdoors with shelter by day and indoor and covered at night
(prior owner sent a blanket he used each night to cover him up.)

Do I sound as much like an idiot as I feel right now:rolleyes:
