Last fall I adopted a pair of Homes from a rescue in Wisconsin. Well that pair gave me Homes fever. Today I received nine more of these guys, 2 males and seven females, from Terry. Pictures to follow as when I put them in the habitat they promptly took full advantage of foliage and I now track them by the waving plants as they forage. Hopefully breeding within the year (the rescues are breeding).

Larry congratulations on your Homes and Wow, 11 so far. Whoo Hoo - Larrys now singing: 'Homes home on the range, where the deer and the muddy torts play. Where seldom is heard, but a squeak not a word and the skies are not cloudy all day'.
Sorry Larry just had to do it. ;)

Aren't they pretty! I've never really been a fan of the hinge-backed tortoise group, however, I must admit that they really do have pretty carapaces...both in color and shape.

Yes, as you can see the enclosure is large with plenty of hiding areas.

What I meant was in addition to the RFs. Have you doing Homes....then Erosa...then Speks, and then Bells...until your surrounded by all the Hingebacks.:p

Erosa someday maybe. I'm sticking to muddy torts.
