My daughter recently got a Russian Tortoise. During a run out in the yard about 3 to 4 weeks ago, he disappeared. Of course, we suspected - rightly as it turned out - that he had dug himself in for the winter.

Today, our friendly German Shepherd found the Russian, dug him out, and presented him to us. Do we return him to his burrow and cover him up? Do we bring him back inside and let him warm up?

Your assistance is appreciated!

i think it would be best if you keep him inside for now if he was not prepared.
i agree you should be careful with the dog situation.
