Hi Mina,

Sorry, I don't know what this is. People in the Health sub-forum might be able to help.

Do you have a vet nearby?

Hope your baby is better soon!

Hi Mina

It's not good news I am afraid. It's blood basically and to show through the shell there is a significant amount.

This tort may have been dropped or received a blow, perhaps from another tortoise. Alternatively it could have blood poisoning called septicemia.

The prognosis is very poor indeed without immediate intervention from a vet and, even then, not good. As you have no access to a vet in Egypt, this is going to be one that you lose I'm afraid :(

Hi Mina,

I agree with the above - that's blood you are seeing. Is this tortoise living with your others? Could she have been rammed by another tortoise?

It's the problem with bullying. We have explained before about separating them.

There is little you can do other than wait it out. I'm afraid this one will almost certainly die.
