A week ago I found a surprise egg in my indoor tort enclosure its her first one, she's been exposed to a male so I am pretty sure it is fertile, but as I wasn't expecting it its been in there for around six weeks undisturbed.
However, when I found it last Sunday it had some veins so I popped it in the incubator. (Photo one)
A week later I have candled it and the veins are a bit less visible but there is a dark mass in the egg and I can't find any photos online of the same sort of thing so wondered if something is wrong? The yolk is laying directly underneath the dark mass so could it just be the embryo? (Photo 2)
Egg as a very small air bubble one end
(Probably from being in dryish soil for a while)
Temp 31.5
Humidity 70-80
Thank you wonderful people !
